Getting called out in the temple. Scholar C. Keener notes,
“Jesus the temple is a place of conflict with people wanting to kill him (John 8:59). From the point of Jesus’ cleansing of the temple until chapter 10, Jesus makes only sporadic appearances in the temple (John 5:14; 7:14, 28; 8:2, 20, 59). The final appearance of Jesus in the temple comes in John 10, but here it ends with Jesus being driven out of the temple by the unbelief of the people and their attempts to stone him”.
